Ms. Angela Woodard


Angela M. Woodard is a database specialist at the Center of Excellence for Educator Preparation and Innovation at Voorhees University. For 25 years, she was employed at Benedict College in Columbia, South Carolina. Her most recent position there was as program coordinator for the Career Pathways Initiative and Service Learning Program. She managed the Career Center student laboratory, created program evaluations, and made recommendations to improve the success of the program. She advised the Benedict College Chapter of the National Society of Leadership and Success for many years. Leadership development coordinator of the Service Learning and Leadership Development Program, coordinator of new student orientation, and program supervisor for the AmeriCorps program are some other positions held at Benedict. She assisted in the training of 60 AmeriCorps members. AmeriCorps provides opportunities for Americans of all backgrounds to serve their country, improve their communities, and tackle some of the nation’s most urgent challenges. For nine years, she coordinated a year-long orientation program for new and transfer students. She recruited and provided leadership training to 40 students each year who served as New Student Orientation Peer Mentors. These students mentored over 4,500 new and transfer students.

Ms. Woodard is skilled at creating promotional program communication including brochures, flyers, policy manuals, and forms. She manages project design from concept to final product. She is proficient in creating PowerPoint presentations, videos, and various high-quality documents.

She is a member of the National Association of Colleges and Schools, the National Society of Leadership and Success, and Sexual Trauma Services of the Midlands.

Ms. Woodard attended Benedict College in Columbia where she earned a Bachelor of Science in mathematics education. She also holds a Master of Arts in computer resources and information management from Webster University in Columbia, South Carolina. At Clemson University, she received additional training in the Summer Leadership Institute.
