Professional Development Coordinator

Ms. Nadine Edney


Nadine Edney is an enthusiastic and creative individual with a solid understanding of student development and learning styles. She possesses excellent communication and interpersonal skills and connects with students from diverse backgrounds. She is experienced in developing engaging lesson plans and assessments to measure student progress. Ms. Edney is an essential part of the Chicago SEED (Supporting Effective Educator Development) Project and serves as the professional development coordinator. 

Ms. Edney recently retired from Richland School District One. She was a math interventionist and a math coach for many years. In neighboring Richland School District Two, Ms. Edney was employed for four years as the lead math teacher. Additionally, Ms. Edney spent some time living abroad. She was employed at Central Texas College in Wuerzburg, Germany for three years as a mathematics instructor.  

She is certified in Elementary Education, Middle-Level Math, Gifted and Talented Endorsement, and Secondary Biology. 

Ms. Edney holds a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education from Columbia College, a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Wofford College, and a Master of Arts in Divergent Learning from Columbia College. Ms. Edney was on the Dean’s List and graduated Summa Cum Laude from Columbia College.
