Dr. Stacey Wilson

Dr. Stacey Wilson has 15 years of experience in higher education serving in various professional capacities including English Professor, Associate Professor of Developmental Studies, Writing Center Coordinator, and Lead English Faculty. Having served at Coastal Carolina University, Horry-Georgetown Technical College, Benedict College, York Technical College, Lander University, and Piedmont Technical College, all institutions in South Carolina, Dr. Wilson has been a featured panelist for Sunday Forum on 88.5 WMNF (Tampa, FL) to share writing and editing strategies to an audience of writers. Founder of the Writing Professor, she also authored Morning Musings: Weekly Encouragement for the Educator’s Soul, which was featured as a “Good Read” in the Winter 2020 edition of Teacher Vision magazine.

Dr. Wilson continues to use her experience and knowledge, co-laboring with fellow educators, to impart pedagogical skills needed to advance students and educators in English and Language Arts. One aspect of her research and professional development focuses on viable teaching and learning frameworks to increase student achievement in literacy. Presently, she is a Senior Clinical Faculty Advisor of the IMPACT program at the Center of Excellence for Educator Preparation and Innovation at Voorhees University located in Denmark, South Carolina. As a Senior Clinical Faculty Advisor, she currently leads 50+ certified educators in teacher action research implementing strategies to improve the literacy levels of elementary school students in grades 3-8 at rural elementary schools in South Carolina.

Dr. Wilson earned a Bachelor of Arts in English from Benedict College, a Master of Arts in English from Stephen F. Austin State University, and her Ed.D in Higher Education Leadership from Concordia University.
