Dr. Theresa L. Riley serves as the public relations and marketing specialist for the Center of Excellence for Educator Preparation and Innovation at Voorhees University. She assists with the creation of marketing and promotional materials, writes press releases, and develops public relations campaigns for identified program efforts. 

She is also currently employed with Richland School District Two in the Communications and Strategic Partnerships Department as marketing director. Throughout her 21 years in the district, her scope of work includes speech writing, image and branding, emergency and crisis management, being the spokesperson, and developing programming content for the district’s television channel (R2TV). She started the first public affairs show, ARISTON, and initiated sports coverage on R2TV. She also implemented and still manages the district’s Quiz Whiz Middle School Academic Tournament. Dr. Riley has a background in broadcasting and has worked for the South Carolina News Network, WWDM radio station, and others.

Her work has been recognized by the South Carolina chapter of the National School Public Relations Association and the National School Public Relations Association.

Dr. Riley holds a Bachelor of Arts in journalism and a Master of Public Administration from the University of South Carolina, and a Doctor of Education in organizational leadership from Nova Southeastern University, Fort Lauderdale, FL.
