DENMARK, SC — This week, educators representing the Center of Excellence for Educator Preparation and Innovation (EPI Center) attended the 2026 UNCF Corporate Luncheon, hosted by Voorhees University. The gathering took place at the Leonard E. Dawson Center, bringing together community leaders, corporate partners, and education advocates from across the region, including special guest U.S. Representative James E. Clyburn.
The luncheon was held to raise vital funds and awareness in support of the United Negro College Fund (UNCF) and its mission to expand educational access. UNCF is the nation’s largest and most effective minority education organization, working to ensure that students are equipped with the resources they need to succeed at Historically Black Colleges and Universities and beyond.
For the EPI Center, participating in the event was an extension of its core values. The Center’s presence underscored a shared commitment to empowering the next generation of students and building a robust pipeline of future educators and community leaders
